  • Cogan's Village (Idiot) Eatery just a quick hop to 13816 W. Center St. (Rt. 87) on Burton Square (440) 834-8069. A unique and interesting environment, that is sure to please the whole family, is a great place to try the deep fried pickles, saran wrap, and lousy service, and basically…have fun!

  • DeBonné Vineyards is a 45-50 minute drive to 7743 Doty Road, Madison (440) 466-3485. They offer country gourmet dinning and a variety of events & activities year round.

  • Ferrante Winery is a 45-50 minute drive away at 5585 St. Rt. 307 in Geneva, (440) 466-VINO. Has much to offer you; tour the winery, sip on wine, enjoy fine meal of Italian cuisine, and live entertainment.

  • Mary Yoder's Amish Kitchen is only a couple minutes drive away at 14743 N. State St. (Rt. 608) in Middlefield, (440) 632-1939. Here you will experience the hospitality of the Amish and enjoy a delicious Amish meal.

  • Old Firehouse Winery & Themed Restaurant is about a 45 minute drive away at 5499 Lake Road, Geneva-on-the-Lake (800) UNCORK-1. offering many special events throughout the year as well as live music most evenings and a full service restaurant.

  • Sutter's Restaurant is about a 15 minute drive away at 10655 Kinsman Rd. (Rt. 87), Newbury, (440) 564-9656. They serve up authentic Eastern European veal dishes, potato pancakes, and German chocolate cake.

  • Rosepointe Cottage (Tea Room) 107 Center Street, Chardon (440) 285-8686 serves lunch and afternoon teas in their lovely Victorian tea room. Reservations are suggested

Choices are plentiful, whether it is a snack or light lunch to a full Amish dining treat. There is a wide variety of different choices within a 15 minute or less drive.


Fine Dining

  • Alessi's Ristorante at the Welshfield Inn is located six miles away at 14007 St. Rt. 422 in Welshfield, (440) 834-4164. Guests enjoy a fine Italian dining experience with a casual country inn atmosphere. During the warmer months they also have seating on their beautiful veranda.

  • Bass Lake Taverne at 426 South Street (Rt. 44), Chardon, (440) 285-3100 is less than a fifteen minute drive and has a wonderful patio. Their specialties are fish, steaks, and salads.

  • Grandview Grille can be found at 13404 Old State Road (Rt. 608), Middlefield, (440) 834-4661. This fine dining establishment with a wide variety of cuisine is located a few minutes away at the Grandview Golf Course. Closed January and February, Sundays in November and December, Mondays from March through October.

  • Main Street 141 is located at 141 Main Street, Chardon (440) 285-4141 is about a fifteen minute drive and specializes in home cooking with an urban flair.

  • Punderson Manor is located in the Punderson State Park at 11755 Kinsman Rd. (Rt. 87), Newbury, (440) 564-9144. While here enjoy a quiet stroll through on the paths through the woods.

  • John Palmer's Bistro 44 (440) 350-0793 is located adjacent to the Quail Hollow Golf Resort at Routes 44 and 90. Approximately 20 minutes away, this elegant yet casual restaurant is guaranteed to please. Their specialties include Certified Angus Beef, fresh fish and seafood all served with a bistro flair.


Casual

  • Alley's Grille is located, in the Harrington Square shopping plaza, at 15561 W. High St. in nearby Middlefield, (440) 632-9280. The quick and casual lunch is their specialty.

  • Belle's American Grille is just a short walk up the street at 14609 W. Park St. right here on Burton Square, (440) 834-8812. Good "Ole fashion" home cooking is what you can find here and in nicer weather you can enjoy a leisurely lunch on their patio.

  • Dutch Country and Twisters Lounge a quick drive will bring you to 15015 Kinsman Rd. (Rt. 87), Burton, (440) 834-1788. The generous portions of country cooking will warm the soul.

  • Fowler's Mill a short 15 minute drive away at 10700 Mayfield Rd. (Rt. 322), Chardon, (440) 286-3111. Enjoy a couple of runs down the ski slopes of Alpine Valley Ski Resort then go next door to find a great family meal.

  • Joel's Italian American Grille a short walk away at 14614 E. Park St. on the historic Burton Square, (440) 834-9050. Here is a hometown favorite serving up pasta and pizza with there own homemade ice cream for dessert.

  • Maxx Doogan's is about 15 minutes away at 602 S. State St. (Rt. 44) Chardon, (440) 285-8222. A well known chain restaurant that is a great place to chat with friends, watch a game, and grab a bite to eat.

  • The 19th Hole is located at 12719 Mayfield Rd. (Rt. 322) Chardon, (440) 286-9966. You won't forget about our crab legs or our Tuesday spaghetti night.


Italian

  • Bon Appetito at 8575 Tanglewood Square (Rt. 306) in Bainbridge, (440) 543-8383. They have some wonderful signature dishes of seafood, pasta, appetizers or even meat platters.

  • Mangia Mangia a short drive west of Burton at 11081 Kinsman Rd, (Rt. 87 & Auburn Rd), Newbury, (440) 564-2227. An extremely reasonably priced and casual family restaurant.

  • Sebastian's on the Square about 15 minutes away at 125 Main Street, on Chardon Square in Chardon, (440) 285-1888. An exciting array of Italian cuisine is available.


Chinese

  • Hunan by the Falls at 508 E Washington Street, Chagrin Falls, (440) 247-0808 is a little farther away than most at around 25 minutes, but the drive may be worth it for the fine assortment of Chinese delicacies.

  • Tai Pan just minutes away at 15412 W. High Street, Middlefield, (440) 632-0654. A casual, family Chinese dining experience that offers dine in and carry out.

  • China Dragon Buffet is minutes away in downtown Middlefield. It offers a large variety of Chinese cuisine served both sit down and buffet style.
